This coarse-ground Organic Whole Wheat Flour from 1847 Stone Milling is made from 100% certified organic hard red wheat, seasonally sourced from Ontario and Western Canada. It is stone milled weekly and sifted through a larger screen, giving it a hearty texture and grainy body ideal for whole grain baking.
With a warm grain brown colour and nutty depth, this flour delivers rustic flavour and robust structure. Expect notes of pizza crust, toasted oats, and walnut—perfect for bakers seeking complexity and nutrition in every bite. Its high protein content (approx. 13.5%) ensures excellent gluten development, while still retaining the earthy characteristics of whole wheat.
