Unlike Bourbon vanilla (Vanilla planifolia), Tahitian vanilla (Vanilla tahitensis) grows indehiscent—meaning it does not split open on the vine—allowing it to preserve its full aromatic potential over time. These pods are three to four times thicker than their Madagascan counterparts, with a buttery-soft texture and a deeply seductive aroma that continues to evolve in storage.
Harvested at optimal maturity and processed with precision by Norohy's local partners, this vanilla embodies a short supply chain and full traceability, from over 200 smallholder growers on Tahaa to a single dedicated preparer on Raiatea.

Split the pod lengthwise and scrape out the seeds. Infuse both pod and seeds in cream, milk, or syrup. After use, rinse and dry the pod to reuse in vanilla sugar or homemade extracts.
